During the summer of 2015, I worked with Mirror Show Management as a co-op. I was able to help in the brain storm process, as well as experience design being produced from digital to three dimensional. I also worked along side account managers, art directors, interior designers, and engineers. I was assigned projects with hand lettering and typography as a main component and given the opportunity to see projects through to the end result.
I have been working with Valpak since March 2014 as a Design Intern. At Valpak, I create websites, logos, posters, brochures, menus, coupons, advertisements, circular fliers and I also manage social media. Companies that I have worked with include Mark's Pizzeria, Rochester Bath Remodeling, Ken's Pizza, Salon Tsunami, UMI Japanese Grill and many more. Working with Valpak has taught me about web design and development, coupon design, advertising, marketing, and social media.
During summer 2014, I worked with Dixon Schwabl as a creative intern. There I worked on inhouse design such as cards, posters, forms, signage, and brochures. I also worked on projects for Finger Lakes Freeze, The Salvation Army, Dunkin Donuts, Lollypop Farm, Strong National Museum of Play, The PRism Awards and Vyve. At Dixon Schwabl I learned about advertising, branding, brain storming, conceptual ideation, presentation, event planning and client interaction.
I worked with The Ski Company Mountain Sports from September 2013 to March 2014 as a Graphic Design Intern. At The Ski Company, I created a lot of print media. The companies main goal was to bring customers in to view and potentially purchase gear and ski passes to local resorts. The Ski Company drew inspiration from other local price driven companies and Ski Magazine. Interning for The Ski Company taught me about price driven advertising, mass advertising, print media and price driven sign development.
Rochester Software Associates is a software developing company. They focus on trade shows and client contact. Here I worked as a marketing and design intern. I learned about Google Analytics, marketing, video design, email advertising, booklet design and trade show preparation. I also created an advertisement for InPlant Graphics Magazine that was printed and published nation wide. This internship allowed me to bridge the gap between marketing and advertising.
